Many and Omniversal thanks to my amazing Patrons. It is largely because of their enthusiasm and support that I am able to bring you these stories. They are all amazing, and I consider it an honor and a privilege to be able to create for them.
I will never, ever betray their trust, or take their generosity for granted.

February is a new world
Okay.
All right.
Let's get real, here.
January was a failure. I wanted to get tons of stuff done, and I got basically nothing done.
This is unacceptable.
Yeah, there was the thing with my Dad, and yeah, there were a few issues even after the surgery, but it's not like that consumed my every free moment or anything. If I'd tried, I could have written something. Every week or two, without fail, I come up with an idea for a new chapter, or for an entirely new story, and of course I ultimately end up carrying through and writing only a vanishingly small fraction of those. The backlog of ideas and plotlines just grows and grows and it's both frustrating and disheartening.
Believe me, as much as you, the reader, want me to post a new chapter on any given day, I want that same thing much, much more.
The problem is, there's no simple answer here. If it was an easy issue to deal with, I would have dealt with it already; it's not like I enjoy disappointing everyone (and myself).
All I can do is keep trying, which I will do.
I did find an interesting website this week: Waitbutwhy.com.
There's some really good stuff there. I started with the article on AI, but the relevant ones here are the two where they discuss procrastination, both the causes of it and a possible method for trying to deal with it.

I like the imagery and thinking here a lot.
And I'm (once again) aiming at completing two chapters this month.
We'll see how it goes.
