Next Chapter

I'll admit it--I'm waaaay behind on my planned story work for this month.
I'd meant to do two full chapters, but my father's surgery is this coming Monday, and I've been trying to get things organized for that, and then he's going to be staying here at my place for at least a day or two afterwards, so I can keep an eye on him and make sure everything's all right, and there's a lot of work involved in getting ready for that too, so... yeah.
On the bright side, I'm taking a week's vacation from work next week, so that I'm free to deal with whatever complications happen, but if there aren't any complications, then that leaves me with lots and lots of writing time.
At the very least, I'll finish a chapter. Optimally, I'll get a good start on the second one, but that might be crazy talk, I've no idea if having my father in the house will be compatible with getting anything creative done.
I'll have to wait and see.

Once we're past this latest thing with my father, hopefully he'll be healthy for a good long while, and I'll be able to focus more on writing. I really do want to make huge progress on several stories this year.
It can happen.
It will happen.
