So I'm rereading the Draka series, and book three, especially, is leading to a frankly embarrassing amount of scribbling and notes and a huge file of space-related stuff that will show up in a huge way in the Taleene story... about six chapters from now.
Because why, you might ask?
Because Nuclear Pulsedrives, my friend.
Nuclear
Pulsedrives.
:-P
Okay, not JUST those, more like that whole suite of technologies, and the setting around them. 'The Stone Dogs' is not only a great book, but the chapters dealing with space give a fascinating glimpse of a certain stage in space travel/exploration/exploitation, and I've got a great way to work that into this story.
Granted, that's way out at the horizon, but in figuring out that particular chunk of story, I was able to solve a problem that was bugging me quite a lot (to be honest, I might have solved it a little TOO well--yes, that's entirely possible to do).
Anyways, now that I've got that bit nailed down, I've yanked my gaze back to what's immediately in front of me.
Eyes on the prize, writermonkey.
Buffy. Taleene. Willow. Dawn... Jack and Teal'c?
Yep.
And also monsters, lightsabers, and nuclear explosions.
