Got it

Okay, that's better.
I've been having serious trouble figuring out exactly how this chapter plays out, specifically the resolution of the Buffy/Taleene struggle and how the split personality thing will settle out. That's not a trivial thing; it's going to inform pretty much everything that follows, and I was never able to pin down just how I wanted that to play out.
But... I think I've got it.
Long drives are a great time for thinking things through, and I was mulling this over, and there was a moment when it all came together in a very simple and obvious way.
There isn't much doubt that I've been overthinking this; the way to go, nearly always, is just to write it, and trust that the answer will present itself in the natural course of things, rather than trying to plot out every detail ahead of time--that way lies madness (and long-delayed chapters).
Progress made, more to follow.
