Responsibilities (and getting back on track)
Welp, that was a long pause, but stuff was happening.
I don't want to spend a lot of words here boring you with the minutia of my life, but I'll recap briefly just by way of explanation:
I mentioned in an earlier post that my father has been needing more and more help from me, these last few years, though he's been determined to keep living on his own. Well, it became clear a good while back that this could only go on for so long, and at the end of 2015 we reached that point. My father had to admit that he could no longer live alone, so he asked me if he could move in, and of course the only good answer to that is 'Sure, dad, we can do that'.
Cue a month's-long span where we're doing lots of work to shift things around, with lots and lots of hours of worrying about things, explaining things, moving things, rearranging things, soothing upset cats, soothing upset parents, etc.
Even when I agreed, I knew it would take a while before things settled down again, but I'd no idea it would take this long--this was a LOT more 'real life' stuff than I'm really comfortable with, believe me.
But, now, I think things are more or less on course again, and I desperately want to dive back into the writing again. Starting immediately.
So again, my apologies for going silent almost as soon as I'd actually gotten some stories moving again--I'll be trying very hard to build some momentum and then maintain it.
Watch this space for periodic updates about stories and word-counts; I'm determined to have new chapters out there very soon.
Later, guys.

Good to have you back - we were starting to get concerned you'd vanished without a trace. Missed you and your writing.
